NTo lead all fundraising efforts for Animal Rahat, with a focus on but not limited to major gift solicitations, fundraising events, and legacies

NPrimary Responsibilities and Duties:

- Manage and develop Animal Rahat's fundraising strategy among current and prospective major donors, utilising direct mail, special events, donor cultivation, and solicitation visits
N
- Identify and research appropriate "cases for giving" for targeted donors
N
- Identify prospective major donors from outside Animal Rahat's current donor base and develop cultivation and solicitation strategies for these prospects
N
- Solicit major financialdonations for Animal Rahat from targeted donors through face-to-face meetings and related fundraising techniques
N
- Maintain regular contact with specific groups of donors and act as a professional contact for them
N
- Document pertinent information for the purpose of enhancing and developing donor profiles and ensure the database is current, with all donor activity recorded
N
- Prepare annual divisionbudgets, regular reports, and special analyses, as needed
N
- Manage and attend cultivation, retention, and solicitation events for Animal Rahat members and supporters throughout India, including donor-hosted events, major-donor meetings, and other special events
N
- Coordinate various aspects of events, including materials and mailings (e.G. invitations, sponsorship forms, programmes, and thank-you letters), auctions, entertainment, awards, handouts, gift bags, and attendance

- Cultivate and manage relationships with potential corporate partners and donors
N
- Develop a working knowledge of all planned-giving techniques
N
- Manage relationships with vendors, including printers, mail houses, database consultants, and event-related companies and consultants
N
- Stay up to date on current fundraising techniques and methods used in the non-profit sector, including those particular to the Indian market, and attend skilled training seminars
N
- Stay current on animal rights issues in general and maintain a clear understanding of and an ability to articulate the objectives and details of Animal Rahat's work
N
- Managing the [email protected] account and ensuring all incoming queries are responded to promptly.

- Manage the recruitment of any new and replacement positions within the fundraising department
N
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

nQualifications:

- Minimum of five years of fundraising experience within India, focused on major gifts, fundraising events, and legacies
N
- Ability to manage multiple projects and donor relationships
N
- Ability to work independently and use discretion in confidential matters relating to donors
N
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and be flexible
N
- Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills
N
- Ability to manage projects, work collaboratively, and foster an ongoing dialogue with multiple departments
N
- Ability and willingnessto travel extensively throughout India
N
- Ability and willingnessto work evenings and weekends, as required for a donor contact
N
