Role Description The MAHILA CAREER ADVISOR (KURNOOL) is a full time, in office role based in Kurnool, focused on guiding individuals, particularly women, in exploring and planning career paths. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, assessing career interests and strengths, and providing information on suitable roles and development opportunities within LIC and the broader job market. The role involves organizing workshops and awareness programs on career planning, employability skills, and financial security through insurance solutions.
The advisor will collaborate with local branches,
training teams, and community organizations to reach potential candidates and support their long-term career growth. Regular documentation, reporting, and follow-up with advised individuals are essential to track outcomes and improve services.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling to effectively guide individuals through education and career choices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Development and Career Management to help individuals plan, build, and sustain their skilled growth over time.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to conduct counseling sessions, deliver presentations, and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in advisory, education, training, or social work, particularly with women’s empowerment or youth development, is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social sciences, management, or a related field is preferred; formal training or certification in counseling is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Kurnool, build relationships in the community, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Basic proficiency in local languages and comfort with using digital tools for communication and documentation will be helpful.
