IT MANAGER

Technology Creativity Communication Digital Growth

At Merlyn International School, technology is not merely a support function. It is an important enabler of learning, communication, administration, creativity and institutional growth.

The IT Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the school's technology ecosystem while also supporting its visual identity and digital presence. The role combines IT Infrastructure, Digital Systems, Graphic Designing, Website Management, Digital Marketing and Digital Content Creation.

The IT Manager is expected to ensure that technology at Merlyn remains reliable, secure, innovative and purposeful, supporting our philosophy:

IT Infrastructure & Technology The IT Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a dependable technology environment across the school.

IT Infrastructure — Plan, install and maintain computers, laptops, printers, servers, storage systems, networking equipment and other technology resources required for academic and administrative operations.

Network & Wi-Fi — Establish and maintain secure LAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity across classrooms, laboratories, offices and other required areas of the campus.

Computer & ICT Systems — Ensure that computers, interactive panels, projectors, printers and other digital teaching and administrative equipment remain operational and properly maintained.

CCTV & Access Systems — Coordinate the installation and maintenance of CCTV, biometric attendance and other technology-enabled security and access systems.

IT Asset Management — Maintain proper records of computers, networking devices, software licences, warranties, accessories and other technology assets.

Technical Support — Provide timely troubleshooting and technical assistance to teachers, administrative staff and other authorised users.

Responsibilities include managing and coordinating:

School ERP Student Information System Admissions Attendance Fees Academics Examinations Report Cards HR & Payroll Transport Library Inventory Parent Communication The IT Manager will coordinate with ERP vendors, create authorised user accounts, maintain access permissions, support staff training and ensure that institutional data is accurately and securely maintained.

Technology should make school processes simpler, faster, transparent and accountable.

Website Management The school's website is an important digital window into Merlyn International School.

The IT Manager will ensure that the website remains professional, informative, engaging and regularly updated.

Website responsibilities will include

Admissions Information Academics Facilities Activities Events Achievements News Photo Galleries Videos Announcements Contact Information The IT Manager will also coordinate domain management, hosting, SSL/security, website backups, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), website analytics and technical maintenance.

Every page should communicate the identity, educational philosophy and quality standards of Merlyn.

Graphic Designing & Visual Communication

Visual communication plays an important role in establishing a strong and consistent school identity.

The IT Manager will create and coordinate professional designs for:

Brochures Flyers Posters Banners Hoardings Newspaper Advertisements Social Media Creatives Digital Advertisements Certificates Invitations Presentations Campus Signage Event Materials Admission Campaigns The IT Manager should be comfortable working with professional design platforms and tools such as:





Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator CorelDRAW Canva or equivalent professional applications

All designs should maintain consistency in the school's:

Logo Colours Typography Photography Taglines Messaging Visual Identity The objective is to ensure that wherever Merlyn is seen—online or offline—it is immediately recognisable as Merlyn.

Digital Marketing

Digital marketing will be an important component of the school's admissions and community outreach strategy.

The IT Manager will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Admissions Team to plan and execute digital campaigns.

Social Media Marketing Search Marketing Lead Generation Digital Advertising Content Marketing Video Marketing SEO Website Marketing Campaign Analytics The IT Manager will manage or coordinate the school's presence across appropriate platforms including:

Merlyn International School seeks to use emerging technology responsibly and creatively.

The IT Manager will explore appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence for:

AI-Generated Videos Animations Graphic Concepts Voiceovers Video Scripts Social Media Content Marketing Content Presentations Image Enhancement Content Planning

AI should enhance human creativity rather than replace judgement.

All AI-generated material must therefore be reviewed for accuracy, appropriateness, originality, copyright considerations and alignment with Merlyn's values before publication.

Admissions Technology The IT Manager will provide technology support for a seamless admissions experience.

This will include

Every enquiry generated through the website, social media,



advertising campaign or other digital channel should be systematically captured and transferred to the Admissions Team for follow-up.
