Role Overview The Import–Export Head will manage the complete import and export process, including documentation, compliance, payments, customs clearance and delivery. The role requires solid coordination, accurate documentation and close control over order timelines.

Roles and Responsibilities
Manage import and export orders from confirmation through final delivery.
Prepare and verify invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, certificates of origin and other trade documents.
Follow up with customers and suppliers regarding documents, payments, production and dispatch schedules.
Coordinate with CHAs, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters and banks.
Manage DGFT and ICEGATE operations, permits, authorisations and regulatory submissions.
Coordinate customs clearance, duty calculations, duty payments and cargo release.




Record and reconcile supplier payments, duties, freight and shipment expenses.
Track order timelines and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies and documentation issues.
Maintain complete digital and physical records for every shipment.
Ensure compliance with customs, foreign-trade and banking requirements.
Provide regular shipment, payment and delivery updates to management.
Supervise and improve import–export processes, checklists and documentation controls.

Candidate Requirements
Relevant experience in import–export operations and documentation.
Working knowledge of DGFT, ICEGATE, customs procedures and Incoterms.
Experience coordinating with CHAs, logistics providers, banks, customers and suppliers.
Robust attention to detail, follow-up and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Excel, email communication and document management.
Ability to independently manage multiple orders and shipments.
A degree in commerce, logistics, international business or a related field is preferred.
