We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mold Designer to join our growing engineering team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and engineering of high-quality, complex, and large-scale plastic injection molds (with a robust emphasis on automotive exterior/interior components). You will transform complex product data into robust, manufacturing-ready mold designs, optimization-driven cooling systems, and creative mechanisms.

End-to-End Mold Design:

Create 3D layouts, complete assembly designs for plastic injection molds (ranging from multi-cavity precision tools to large-size automotive molds).

Advanced Mechanism Development

Design complex mold mechanisms, including intricate slider movements, lifters, multi-stage ejection systems, and hot runner system integration

DFM & Feasibility Reviews:

Conduct thorough Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analyses, identifying potential part defects





Global Standards Compliance

Ensure all mold designs strictly adhere to client-specific tool build standards, It is preferable if you are familiar with North American mold design standards.

Software Proficiency

Advanced proficiency in dedicated tool design software like Cimatron is highly preferred.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications Education: Diploma, B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering, or a specialized Post-Diploma/Post-Graduate certification in Tool & Die Design (from recognized institutes like CIPET, NTTF, or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum of 3

years of proven hands-on experience in plastic injection mold design within a mold manufacturing or dedicated tool design engineering workplace.
