Job Summary:
The Counsellor (Psychologist) will be responsible for supporting students’ mental health and emotional well-being through individual and group counselling, wellness initiatives, and crisis intervention. The role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counselling to students
Conduct wellness programs and awareness sessions on mental health
Offer crisis intervention, support, and referrals when required
Administer and interpret psychometric assessments while maintaining confidentiality
Identify and support at-risk students in collaboration with faculty and administration
Facilitate mental health workshops and outreach activities
Drive student wellness initiatives and maintain reports/documentation
Ensure a secure, inclusive, and confidential counselling workplace
Eligibility Criteria:
Master’s degree in Psychology (mandatory)
3–4 years of relevant experience in counselling / mental health services
Key Skills Required:
Solid counselling and interpersonal skills
Empathy, active listening, and emotional intelligence
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Crisis management and problem-solving skills
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Profile:
Experience working in educational institutions / universities
Exposure to student counselling and wellness programs
Knowledge of psychometric tools and assessment techniques
