Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform piping stress analysis using CAESAR II for process and utility piping systems.
Prepare and review piping stress analysis reports and calculation documents.
Evaluate piping systems for thermal expansion, sustained, occasional, and operating loads.
Perform static and dynamic analysis, including seismic, wind, vibration, water hammer, and relief valve loads where applicable.
Check nozzle loads and ensure compliance with applicable equipment and piping design requirements.
Design and optimize piping supports, restraints, guides, anchors, and spring supports.
Coordinate with piping, mechanical, equipment, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
Review piping layouts, isometrics, P&IDs;, equipment drawings, and line lists for stress analysis requirements.
Identify critical lines and develop appropriate stress analysis methodologies.
Perform flexibility analysis and recommend modifications to piping layouts/support arrangements where required.
Prepare technical deliverables including stress reports, load summaries, support recommendations, and other project documentation.
Review vendor documents and incorporate relevant data into stress analysis.
Preferred Skills:
Robust hands-on experience in CAESAR II.
Positive knowledge of piping stress engineering principles and flexibility analysis.
Experience in oil & gas / EPC / petrochemical / refinery projects is preferred.
Ability to independently handle piping stress analysis from input preparation through final report.
Valuable coordination and communication skills.
