Role & Responsibilities
Design and develop final distribution products such as MCBs, RCCBs and RCBOs.
Design and develop plastic, sheet metal, machined and die-cast components.
Prepare component drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, testing procedures and other design documents.
Ensure product designs comply with relevant IS and IEC standards.
Conduct and coordinate product approval testing, validation and certification.
Analyze product applications and customer requirements to upgrade, customize and improve products.
Identify opportunities for product cost reduction, value engineering and design optimization.
Implement design improvements based on internal and external customer feedback.
Perform GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, DOE and statistical analysis as required.
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, testing and cross-functional teams for successful product development and launch.

Preferred Candidate Profile




BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in product design and development.
Experience in LV electrical switchgear / final distribution products, preferably MCB, RCCB or RCBO.
Solid knowledge of IS/IEC standards and product testing/certification requirements.
Hands-on experience in Creo or SolidWorks and familiarity with SAP.
Valuable understanding of plastic moulding, sheet metal, machining and die-casting processes.
Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, Six Sigma, DOE, statistical tools and Value Engineering.
Basic understanding of switchgear and power systems.
Robust problem-solving, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into product/design improvements.
