Role Description

This is a full time, on-site leadership position based in Kadi, Gujarat, for the role of Head – Research & Development (Industrial Coatings).

As the Head – R&D;, you will lead Nexora's product development and innovation initiatives, playing a key role in building our technology platform from the ground up.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing industrial coating formulations, establishing laboratory systems and testing protocols, leading product validation, and supporting the commercialization of new products.

Working closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Technical Services, and Management, you will drive formulation development,



process improvements, raw material evaluation, customer trials, and continuous product innovation while building and mentoring the future R&D; team.

QualificationsRequired

- Minimum 8 years of experience in the Industrial Paints & Protective Coatings industry.
- Strong expertise in the formulation and development of Corrosion Protective Coating, Heat Resistant Coating, Fire Retardant Coating, Marine Coating, and Specialty Coating Systems.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory formulation, product optimization, testing, troubleshooting, and commercial scale-up.
- Strong knowledge of coating raw materials including resins, pigments, additives, solvents, fillers, and curing agents.
- Experience in developing Technical Data Sheets (TDS), product specifications, testing procedures, and quality standards.
- Working knowledge of ISO, ASTM, SSPC, NACE, and other relevant industry standards.
- Proven ability to lead R&D; teams, manage multiple development projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Paint Technology, Polymer Science, Surface Coating Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred
- Experience in establishing or expanding an industrial coatings R&D; department.
- Strong understanding of customer approval processes, technical service, and product commercialization.
- Exposure to Heavy-Duty Protective Coatings and High-Performance Industrial Coating Systems.
- A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and building products that deliver long-term value to customers.
