Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing protected, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients while maintaining professional standards, hospital policies, and infection-control practices.

Key Responsibilities
Assess patients and monitor vital signs regularly.
Provide medication and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
Maintain accurate nursing records, charts, and patient documentation.
Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergency care.
Perform nursing procedures according to hospital protocols.
Monitor patients and promptly report any changes in condition to the doctor.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
Maintain proper patient hygiene, comfort, nutrition, and safety.
Perform dressing, catheter care, IV care, and other nursing procedures as required.
Follow medication safety practices and verify medication orders before administration.
Maintain proper handover between shifts.
Follow infection-control, biomedical waste management,



and patient-safety protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the nursing station and patient-care areas.
Communicate professionally with patients, attendants, doctors, and other healthcare staff.
Respond effectively during emergency situations.
Participate in hospital training, audits, quality initiatives, and other assigned activities.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Perform any other nursing duties assigned by the Nursing In-charge or Management.
