Job Description
Position: Piping Design Engineer
nLocation: Gurgaon/Navi Mumbai/Pune/Kolkata/Ahmedabad/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Chennai
nInterview Mode : F2F at Hyderabad
nKey Responsibilities
nDevelop detailed 3D piping and equipment models usingSP3D/P3D/Revit for design engineering projects.
nGenerate and maintain key design deliverables from the 3D model, including:
nPiping Isometric drawings
nPiping General Arrangement (GA) drawings
nPipe support drawings
nPiping Bill of Quantities (BOQ) / Material Take-Offs (MTO)
nPerform 3D model navigation and review using Navisworks.
nIdentify, analyze, and resolve clashes in coordination with other disciplines based on clash detection reports.
nEnsure models and drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and applicable standards.
nSupport design reviews and incorporate comments from clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
nThe candidate should have robust experience and practical understanding of:
nP&IDs; and their application in detailed piping design




nEquipment data sheets and vendor drawings
nPiping layout and routing fundamentals, including spacing, elevation, and constructability considerations
nPiping Material Specifications (PMS), with specific emphasis on branching tables
nPipe support types, location principles, and design intent
nNozzle orientation principles for rotating and static equipment
nAccessibility, operability, and maintenance requirements for inline piping components
nTie-in packages, including site and brownfield interface considerations
nBachelor's Degree in Engineering (BE) – Mechanical or relevant discipline
n5-12 years of experience, minimum 4+ years of experience in Design Consulting / Engineering Consultancy
