nAbout the Role

nWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to oversee product cos ng, cost analysis, inventory valuation, manufacturing cost control, budge ng, and profitability analysis across the organization. The role requires robust expertise in cost accounting principles, variance analysis, inventory management, and financial reporting, along with hands-on experience in ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA.

nKey Responsibilities

nMonitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

nAnalyse material consumption and yield variances.

nTrack manufacturing overheads and recommend cost optimization measures.

nWork closely with production teams to improve operational efficiency.

nEvaluate cost-saving initiatives and monitor achieved savings.

nPrepare and maintain standard and actual product cost sheets.

nCalculate and analyse raw material, labour, overhead, and conversion costs.

nReview and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing data for accurate costing.

nSupport pricing decisions through detailed cost and margin analysis.

nConduct product-wise, customer-wise, and plant-wise profitability analysis.

nEnsure accurate valuation of Raw Materials, WIP, Finished Goods, Scrap, and Consumables.

nReconcile inventory records with ERP and financial books.

nMonitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.





nAssist in preparation of annual operating budgets and cost forecasts and monitor actual cost against budget.

nPrepare monthly manufacturing cost reports and dashboards.

nEnsure adherence to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and company policies

nSupport compliance with GST and other regulatory requirements impacting cost accounting.

nProcess Improvement

nSupport automation initiatives and continuous process improvement projects.

nMaintain process documentation and SOPs.

n

nRequired Skills & Competencies

nStandard Cos ng, Product Cos ng, Process Cos ng, Inventory Accounting, Variance Analysis, Budge ng and Forecasting.

nStrong understanding of BOMs, production processes, and cost structures.

nERP System (SAP S4 HANA)

nSound knowledge of GST and TDS regulations.

nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

nAbility to work under strict timelines and handle multiple priories.

nExperience

n3-5 years of relevant experience in Cost Accounting similar manufacturing Industry.

nHands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA is mandatory.

nExperience in manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods industries will be an added advantage.

nPreferred Qualifications

nCMA/ICWA combined with relevant work experience.

nKnowledge of financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance regulations.

nExposure to shared services or centralized finance operations environments.
