R & D Chemist / Formulator | 12 Month Contract
Our client is a leading Australian Pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in the South Eastern Suburbs looking for a R&D; Chemist/Formulator for a 12 month maternity leave contract. As the company continues to grow this role may have a permanent opportunity after contract.

Responsibilities include:
Formulating current products, utilizing alternate raw materials, and improving existing products
Evaluate and source new and alternative raw materials
Participate in process improvement and development of manufacturing methods
Oversee trial production and initial production batches
Develop product proposals
Collaborate with other teams regarding product formulation, application and trial support
Provide training,



technical expertise and support to other areas of business
Identify opportunities for quality enhancement and operational efficiencies
Maintain detailed and accurate records and translating data into clear, well-written technical reports.
Ensures the maintenance to good laboratory practices and all safety regulations both in laboratory and manufacturing areas

Skills, Attributes and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Sciences (Chemistry and/or Pharmaceutical)
Masters or PhD degree desired
Experience commensurate within the pharmaceutical space preferred; chemical, food or other regulated industry experience will be considered
Familiar with GMP and SOP
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised to assure work is completed in both a timely and safe manner
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrate the ability to 'get the job done' in a fast-paced, dynamic work workplace - individua
