About AirBuddy Aerospace AirBuddy Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. is a deep-tech startup based in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, building next-generation axial-flux electric motor technology — a fundamentally different approach to electric propulsion that delivers higher power density in a lighter, more compact form.

Our technology is being developed for aerospace platforms, drones, electric vehicles, and industrial automation. We are an early-stage, engineering-first team building indigenous IP in a category where very few companies globally are working.

We are now hiring a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founders as we scale.

About the Role The Chief of Staff is the founders' force multiplier.

You will sit close to every major decision in the company — and then own the follow-through. Your job is to make sure the company's priorities are clear, tracked, and actually delivered, and to personally take on the problems that don't yet have an owner.

This is a wide role, deliberately. In a given month you might build the operating dashboard the leadership team runs on, draft an investor update, run a hiring loop for a critical engineering role, and untangle a vendor delay that's blocking production. You will be measured on outcomes, not activity.

It is a high-trust, high-autonomy position with a clear path into a leadership role as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategy &

• Business Planning

- Translate founder priorities into company-wide goals, OKRs, and quarterly plans
- Track progress against those goals and flag risks early, with a recommendation attached
- Run market, competitor, and technology research; convert findings into clear decision memos
- Build and maintain business models, unit economics, and scenario forecasts
- Prepare board decks, investor updates, and strategy documents

2. Cross-Functional Execution
- Own special projects end-to-end — the initiatives that don't yet belong to a team
- Drive coordination across engineering, R&D;, manufacturing, and operations
- Identify bottlenecks across the organisation and remove them, escalating only when needed
- Design lightweight systems and SOPs that hold up as the team scales

3. Data, Reporting &

• Decision Intelligence





- Build and own the company's operating dashboards and MIS reporting rhythm
- Turn raw operational data into visualizations and insights leadership can act on
- Use AI/ML tooling to automate recurring reporting and reduce manual effort
- Maintain accurate, well-structured data across business functions
- Define the metrics that matter — and retire the ones that don't

4. Founder's Office &

• Governance

- Manage the founders' priorities, calendar-critical commitments, and follow-ups
- Capture decisions from key meetings and drive them to closure with clear owners and deadlines
- Represent the founders in internal and select external meetings
- Maintain confidentiality and sound judgement on sensitive business matters

5. Fundraising, Grants &

• External Relations

- Support fundraising: data rooms, financial models, diligence responses, investor follow-ups
- Manage applications and reporting for government schemes, grants, and incubator programs
- Coordinate relationships with investors, partners, consultants, and industry bodies
- Manage participation in conferences, demo days, and industry events

6. People, Hiring &

• Culture

- Drive hiring end-to-end: JDs, sourcing, interview loops, and closing candidates
- Own onboarding so new joiners are productive quickly
- Help shape internal policies, communication rhythms, and team culture

7. Operations, Compliance &

• Administration

- Oversee vendor coordination, procurement support, and budget tracking
- Support compliance, statutory filings, contracts, and documentation
- Maintain clean, retrievable records and filing across the business

Required Skills &

Qualifications

- [2–5] years of experience in a startup, consulting, strategy, business operations, or founder's office role — or you've built and run something of your own
- Demonstrated ownership of projects end-to-end, not just support or coordination




- Strong analytical ability: comfortable with financial models, business data, and forecasting
- Hands-on proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Working familiarity with AI tools and how to apply them to real workflows (ChatGPT, Claude, and similar)
- Excellent written communication — you can write a crisp investor update, a decision memo, and a clear internal SOP
- Strong presentation skills (Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides)
- High comfort with ambiguity: given a vague problem, you return with a structured plan
- Sound judgement and absolute discretion with confidential information
- Ability to work on-site from our Greater Noida facility [as required / X days a week]

Good to Have

- MBA, or a background in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Engineering
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup (pre-Seed to Series A)
- Exposure to hardware, manufacturing, aerospace, EV, or R&D-driven; businesses
- Working knowledge of Python or ML/DL frameworks for automation and analysis
- Experience with fundraising, due diligence, government grants, or schemes such as Startup India / DPIIT
- Experience supporting founders or senior leadership directly

This Role Is Probably Not For You If

- You prefer a clearly defined scope and a secure weekly routine
- You want to specialise deeply in one function
- You're looking for a purely analytical or purely administrative role
