Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced CHRO & CBO to lead Ethnus's overall Human Resources function and simultaneously build and scale the Staffing & Workforce Development business as a profitable and sustainable business vertical.
The role combines enterprise HR leadership, people strategy, organizational development, business development, P&L; management, strategic client acquisition and workforce solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader with proven experience in HR leadership and building/scaling staffing, workforce solutions or HR services businesses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Chief Human Resources Officer – Enterprise HR
- Develop and execute the overall HR strategy aligned with Ethnus's business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Payroll, Compliance, Performance Management, Employee Engagement and HR Technology.
- Drive workforce planning, organizational structure and leadership development.
- Build a high-performance, high-trust and values-driven culture.
- Lead compensation, performance-linked incentives and HR budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour and employment laws.
- Drive HR digitization, automation and HRMS/ATS adoption.
- Develop HR dashboards and people analytics for management decision-making.
- Advise Founders and senior leadership on people, culture and organizational effectiveness.
- Build a strong and scalable HR team and leadership pipeline.
2. Chief Business Officer – Staffing & Workforce Development
- Own the complete P&L; of the Staffing & Workforce Development business.
- Develop the business strategy, annual operating plan, revenue targets and profitability targets.
- Build and scale the staffing business across manufacturing, e-commerce, retail, hospitality, logistics and corporate sectors.
- Lead strategic client acquisition and build relationships with CXOs, CHROs, business heads and procurement leaders.
- Negotiate and close large staffing mandates, MSAs, MOUs and strategic partnerships.
- Own pricing, mark-ups, commercial structures, margins and account profitability.
- Build and lead teams across business development, recruitment, workforce operations, compliance and client management.
- Establish scalable processes for recruitment, deployment, attendance, payroll, billing and workforce management.
- Introduce HRMS, CRM, ATS, payroll and workforce management technology.
- Drive client retention, account growth and diversification of the business.
- Identify new sectors, geographies and service offerings such as RPO and payroll outsourcing.
- Build a strong second line of leadership and ensure the business is scalable and not dependent on individuals.

Requirements
- 18–25 years of progressive experience in HR, staffing, workforce solutions, HR services or related sectors.
- 7+ years of experience in senior leadership / CXO / P&L; roles.
- Proven experience leading an enterprise HR function.
- Strong experience in building or scaling a staffing, workforce solutions, RPO or HR services business.
- Demonstrated P&L; ownership and business development experience.
- Strong CXO-level client network and strategic sales capability.
- Strong knowledge of staffing operations, payroll and labour law compliance.
- Experience with HRMS, ATS, CRM, payroll or workforce management systems.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Experience in a fast-growing organization, MSME, education, training, staffing or service business is preferred.
