Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Management
Prepare, organize, and set up lab equipment and materials for practical sessions in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of all science laboratories.
Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals, specimens, and lab tools.

Academic Support
Assist teachers and students during practical sessions.
Demonstrate experiments and explain procedures when required.
Support students in understanding experimental concepts aligned with CBSE syllabus.

Inventory & Maintenance
Maintain stock registers for chemicals, apparatus, and lab materials.
Ensure timely procurement of lab supplies.
Conduct regular checks and basic maintenance of lab equipment.

Safety & Compliance
Enforce laboratory safety rules and procedures.
Ensure proper disposal of chemical and biological waste.
Maintain first aid kits and safety equipment.

Documentation




Maintain records of practicals conducted.
Assist in preparing lab manuals, worksheets, and reports.
Support in internal assessments and practical examinations.

Eligibility Criteria
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) or related field is required.(B.Ed. preferred for teaching roles but not mandatory for lab assistant roles). Chemistry graduates will be given preference.
Experience:Freshers can apply. Prior experience in school labs is an advantage.
