What Youll Be Doing (position summary):
The Sr. Software Development Engineer (SDE) is responsible for owning the complete software development lifecycle for ASG Technologies payment processing systems. This role is critical in driving technical excellence, delivering innovative solutions, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of payment infrastructure. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams, set technical standards, and mentor junior engineers to support the organizations strategic objectives.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):
- Lead technical design and detailed technical planning for assigned features and services, producing design documents and driving alignment with senior engineers and tech leads.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the full stack,



with a strong emphasis on backend services and payment processing workflows; set an example of code quality for the team.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive testing strategies unit, integration, and end-to-end for services you own; champion code quality through rigorous and constructive code reviews.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for assigned services; take accountability for production monitoring, incident response, and on-call coverage.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks for systems and features you own.
- Actively contribute to technical discussions and design reviews; provide well-reasoned input on architectural decisions within the Payment Solutions team.
- Identify and propose improvements to engineering processes, tooling, and practices within the team; drive adoption of improvements within your area of ownership.
