A Senior Chartered Accountant is responsible for overseeing an organization’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, managing audits and taxation, and providing strategic financial guidance to management.

Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Financial Management
Oversee preparation and finalization of financial statements.
Monitor accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Review balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Audit & Compliance
Lead internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with auditors, regulatory authorities, and government departments.
Implement robust internal controls and financial policies.
Taxation Management
Handle Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances.
Review and approve tax filings and returns.
Manage tax assessments, notices, and legal documentation.
Provide tax planning and optimization strategies.




Team Leadership
Supervise junior accountants and finance staff.
Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports prepared by the team.
Train and mentor finance team members.
Allocate work and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Analyze financial data and business performance.
Prepare MIS reports and management reports.
Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Develop annual budgets and monitor expenses.
Track departmental spending and cost-saving prospects.
Ensure effective utilization of company funds and resources.
Banking & Cash Flow Management
Manage cash flow, fund planning, and working capital.
Coordinate with banks for loans, audits, and financial documentation.
