About the RoleArix Energix is looking for a hands-on QA Engineer to own product quality across our enterprise asset management, maintenance, reliability and industrial digitalisation solutions.

The role covers web applications, mobile applications, REST APIs, databases, integrations and AI-enabled workflows. You will work closely with product managers, developers and implementation teams to ensure that releases are functionally correct, reliable and ready for real-world industrial operations.

This is not a manual-testing-only position. The successful candidate must be capable of performing detailed functional testing while progressively building and maintaining automated regression coverage.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements, user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare practical test scenarios covering positive, negative, boundary, permission and failure conditions.
- Test web, Android and API-based applications across functional, integration and regression cycles.
- Validate complex role-based workflows, approvals, escalations, notifications and state transitions.
- Test REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Validate application data using SQL and database queries.
- Build and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or equivalent tools.
- Automate critical smoke and regression scenarios and integrate them with the release pipeline.
- Test offline behaviour, synchronisation, connectivity failures and recovery scenarios.
- Validate file uploads, QR-based workflows, notifications, background jobs and third-party integrations.
- Reproduce defects consistently and document them with evidence, environment details and business impact.
- Perform release verification and provide a transparent quality recommendation before deployment.
- Track escaped defects,



flaky tests and recurring failure patterns.
- Use AI tools to accelerate test-case generation, test-data preparation, automation scripting, log analysis and defect investigation.
- Review all AI-generated outputs before using them in the testing process.
- Contribute to the testing approach for AI-enabled product features, including prompt variations, incorrect responses, edge cases and regression datasets.
- Improve QA standards, test documentation and release-quality gates.

Required Skills

- 3–5 years of hands-on software testing experience.
- Strong functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing skills.
- Practical experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
- Experience with Postman and API response validation.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Hands-on automation experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or a comparable framework.
- Ability to write or understand automation code in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java or Python.
- Experience with defect tracking and test-management tools.
- Understanding of Git, branches, builds and deployment environments.
- Ability to investigate browser console errors, network calls, application logs and database records.
- Strong written communication and disciplined defect reporting.
- Ability to understand complex business workflows rather than testing screens in isolation.

Preferred Skills

- Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Android application testing and exposure to Appium.
- Experience with Laravel, React or API-driven SaaS products.
- PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB validation experience.




- Experience testing role-based access control and multi-tenant applications.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
- Basic performance testing using JMeter, k6 or an equivalent tool.
- Experience with industrial, maintenance, ERP, CMMS, EAM, manufacturing or field-service applications.
- Experience testing AI-assisted or conversational workflows.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants for generating, reviewing and maintaining tests.

- Identify workflow and integration defects before UAT.
- Establish a structured regression suite for critical journeys.
- Automate the highest-risk smoke and regression scenarios.

- Reduce repetitive QA effort through controlled use of automation and AI.
