About Position:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure SQL Database Administrator with 10 to 15 years of expertise in managing enterprise-scale database environments across cloud and hybrid infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Microsoft SQL Server, with a robust focus on performance optimization, automation, database security, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud modernization initiatives.

Manage, administer, and optimize Azure SQL Databases, Azure SQL Managed Instances, and SQL Server settings running on Azure Virtual Machines. Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities. Lead SQL Server modernization and migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure cloud platforms.



Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks affecting availability and efficiency. Analyze execution plans, indexing strategies, wait statistics, and query performance issues. Optimize query execution, storage utilization, compute resources, and overall database performance. Implement and manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions. Configure and support Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Geo-Replication, and Point-in-Time Recovery solutions. Ensure recovery objectives and business continuity requirements are consistently achieved. Develop and implement database monitoring and observability solutions using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Automate database administration tasks using Power Shell, T-SQL, ARM Templates, Bicep, and Terraform. Build and maintain Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines for database deployment and release automation.
