Job Title: VMC Operator (Mitsubishi / Mazak Control)Department: Production / MachiningLocation: Chinchwad MIDC, PuneJob Summary:
Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines with Mitsubishi / Mazak CNC controls to manufacture precision components as per drawings, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate VMC machines with Mitsubishi / Mazak controllers:
Load/unload raw materials and finished components
Perform tool setting, offset setting, and job setting:
Read and understand engineering drawings, process sheets, and GD&T;:
Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.)
Maintain required production targets as per planning
Monitor machine performance and identify abnormalities
Perform basic troubleshooting (tool wear, offset correction, minor alarms)
Ensure proper coolant level, lubrication, and machine cleanliness (5S):
Follow SOPs, safety rules, and PPE compliance

Machine Knowledge Required:
Experience on Mitsubishi VMC Control:




Experience on Mazak VMC Control:
Knowledge of G-code / M-code basics:
Understanding of fixture setting & tool selection

Skills & Competencies:
Solid understanding of machining processes
Ability to maintain dimensional accuracy
Problem-solving skills for minor machine issues
Attention to quality and detail
Team coordination with supervisor and quality team

Qualification:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience:
1 to 5 years experience on VMC machines
Experience in tool room / production machining preferred

Production output vs target
Rejection / rework percentage
Machine utilization
Tool breakage control
Adherence to safety and 5S

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹29,614.56 per month
