We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with approximately 5 years of experience to manage project costs, contracts, and financial planning. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining design integrity and construction quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesCost Planning & Budgeting
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets from concept to execution stage
Conduct value engineering to optimize costs without compromising design intent
Advise architects and clients on cost implications of design decisions
Tendering & Procurement
Lead the preparation of tender documents and bid packages
Analyze contractor quotations and prepare comparative statements
Support negotiation and finalization of contracts with vendors and contractors
Project Cost Control & Monitoring
Track project expenditures and manage budgets throughout the lifecycle
Evaluate and certify interim payment applications from contractors
Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective strategies
Contract & Claims Management
Administer contracts and handle variations, claims, and dispute resolution
Prepare and finalize project accounts
Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Site Coordination & Execution Support
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and validate work completed
Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve cost-related issues
Ensure alignment between site execution and approved budgets
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare financial reports, cost analysis, and cash flow forecasts
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Provide regular updates to senior management and clients
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction or architectural firms
Strong expertise in cost estimation, BOQs, and contract administration
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software
