Alongside our fresh food departments, our General Merchandise (GM) division—encompassing home goods, electronics, apparel, kitchenware, and seasonal inventory—is a critical driver of our business growth. We are seeking a commercial, results-driven Department Manager to maximize sales and optimize inventory within this department.

Job Overview

As the Department Manager for General Merchandise, you will have full commercial and operational accountability for your assigned sales floor. Your focus will be on tracking market trends, managing high-volume stock rotation, executing visual merchandising plans, and leading a retail team to hit aggressive sales targets. If you are a sharp, business-minded manager who thrives in a rapid-paced, competitive retail setting, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
Floor & Team Management: Direct, train, and schedule a team of sales floor associates,



setting daily targets and monitoring performance to maximize productivity.
Merchandising & Layouts: Execute planograms with high precision. Ensure optimal product placement, effective end-cap displays, and fast execution of seasonal transitions to capture maximum market share.
Inventory Control & Turnover: Monitor stock levels through data-driven systems. Manage stock ordering to minimize shrinkage (loss), maximize inventory turnover, and ensure high-demand items are consistently on shelves.
Sales & Margin Optimization: Analyze daily and weekly sales data to identify growth categories, manage markdown strategies for aging stock, and achieve specific profit margin and revenue goals.
Customer Service & Compliance: Ensure exact pricing, explicit promotional signage, and an efficiently structured floor layout to optimize the overall customer shopping experience.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
