JOB DESCRIPTION – ENGLISH TEACHER (PUC)

Position: English Teacher
Department: Pre-University College (PUC)
Location: Bengaluru
Reporting To: Principal / Head of Department

Key Responsibilities
Teach English to PUC students as per the prescribed syllabus and curriculum.
Plan and deliver engaging and effective classroom lessons.
Develop students’ grammar, vocabulary, communication, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
Conduct regular tests, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Support students in improving their academic performance and communication skills.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning setting.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, academic activities, examinations, and departmental meetings.
Maintain required academic records and student progress reports.




Support college events, co-curricular activities, and other institutional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification
M.A. in English with B.Ed. preferred.
Candidates with relevant PUC teaching experience will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies
Robust command of English language and grammar.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Good classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate PUC students.
Robust lesson planning and assessment skills.
Student-focused approach with good interpersonal skills.

Experience

2–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in PUC / Pre-University education.

Immediate joiners preferred.

Pay: ₹10,748.04 - ₹33,792.69 per month
