Role: Research and Development (R&D;) Chemist – Textile Chemicals
Industry: Chemical Manufacturing / Textile Auxiliaries and Specialty Chemicals
Core Objective: Design creative, cost-effective, and sustainable chemical formulations for textile pretreatment, dyeing, and finishing. [1, 2, 3]
Key Responsibilities
Formulation Development: Create and optimize current chemical formulations for sizing, scouring, bleaching, dyeing, and finishing processes. [1]
Lab Trials & Testing: Execute bench-scale experiments, analyze performance data, and evaluate fabric compatibility, stability, and durability. [1]
Scale-Up Support: Coordinate with production units to transition lab formulas to bulk manufacturing successfully and economically. [1]
Quality & Troubleshooting: Interface with quality control (QC) and marketing teams to resolve client issues and deliver product demonstrations. [1]
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain strict adherence to lab safety rules, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and create Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or Technical Data Sheets (TDS). [1, 2]
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on R&D; experience working with surfactants, polymers, emulsions, or textile auxiliaries.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fiber-chemical interactions, application testing methods, and raw material screening.
Soft Skills: Solid analytical problem-solving abilities, cross-functional communication, and project management skills.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
