About the Opportunity

(DICV) is offering a 1-year Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT) program in our Operations & Logistics function at our state-of-the-art Oragadam plant. This is a hands-on learning opportunity where you will work alongside experienced engineers on real plant operations.
nWhat You Will Do
nInstallation & Commissioning Support
n
n
Assist engineers and technicians during equipment installation, piping layout, and field activitiesn
Observe and learn alignment, basic instrumentation checks, and mechanical assembly methodsn
Help prepare tools, materials, and work areas before installation beginsn
Support routine tasks during testing — pressure tests, leak checks, and basic measurementsn

nSafety & Compliance

Ensure PPE usage and follow safety guidelines during all field activitiesn
Assist in setting up barricading, signage, and secure access pathsn




Participate in toolbox talks to understand site hazards and safety proceduresn
Report any unsafe condition to technician or engineer immediatelyn

nVendor & Team Coordination

Assist technician in guiding contractor manpower for easy tasksn
Support vendor teams in arranging work platforms, tools, and consumablesn
Communicate basic updates to technician or engineer as requiredn

nDocumentation & Reporting
n
n
Help record daily material movement — pipes, fittings, toolsn
Maintain straightforward checklists under supervisionn
Record field observations, measurements, and simple inspection notesn
Assist in updating as-built drawings by marking field changesn
Maintain learning logs, training attendance, and skill development recordsn
