About the Role: Lead the design and development of scalable,



high-performance backend systems using Python and FastAPI.

Drive architecture decisions, mentor teams, and build resilient distributed systems in a cloud-native setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and own scalable, resilient backend architectures for distributed systems
Define service boundaries, data ownership, and communication patterns (REST, async, event-driven)
Build and maintain high-performance backend services using Python and FastAPI
Lead architectural decisions across microservices, modular monoliths, and event-driven systems
Optimize data models, database performance, and storage strategies (SQL & NoSQL)
Ensure system reliability with proper handling of failures, retries, and scalability patterns
Drive code quality through best practices, design patterns, and code reviews
Collaborate with DevOps on cloud deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability
Mentor engineers and act
