The Automation Initiative Lead is responsible for identifying, shaping, governing and delivering high-value automation and AI transformation initiatives across GIS and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect Identification & Pipeline Management (20%)

Identify automation and AI prospects across business functions.

Conduct value assessments and prioritisation exercises.

Build and maintain automation roadmaps.

Establish initiative intake and qualification processes.

Business Case & Value Realisation (20%)

Develop business cases and investment proposals.

Define benefits, ROI and success metrics.

Track realised business value.

Initiative Delivery Leadership (25%)

Lead complex automation and AI initiatives.

Coordinate architects, developers and business stakeholders.

Manage dependencies, risks and delivery milestones.

Ensure successful transition into operational support.

Business & Stakeholder Engagement (15%)

Partner with senior business leaders.

Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions.

Present proposals and progress to leadership forums.





Governance & Standards (10%)

Promote best practices and reusable solution patterns.

Ensure alignment with AI governance and architecture standards.

Drive consistency in delivery approaches.

Innovation & Emerging Technologies (10%)

Evaluate emerging AI technologies.

Drive PoCs and innovation experiments.

Recommend strategic technology investments.
