Job Summary

The Hospital Receptionist will be responsible for managing the hospital front desk, welcoming patients and visitors, handling enquiries, assisting with appointments and registrations, and ensuring smooth coordination between patients and hospital departments. The receptionist should have excellent communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work in a busy hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist patients, attendants, visitors, and doctors professionally.
Handle front-desk enquiries and provide accurate information about hospital services.
Register new and existing patients in the hospital system.
Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments.




Manage OPD registration and guide patients to the appropriate department/doctor.
Answer and transfer incoming telephone calls appropriately.
Handle patient and visitor queries politely and efficiently.
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, billing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments.
Assist patients with admission and discharge-related formalities when required.
Maintain accurate patient records and front-office documentation.
Handle hospital forms, registers, receipts, and other administrative documents.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital records.
Inform patients about consultation timings, waiting procedures, and hospital facilities.
Manage visitor flow and ensure proper communication with concerned departments.
Handle complaints professionally and escalate responsible issues to the concerned senior.
Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and qualified appearance at the reception area.
