Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences
Key Responsibilities:
Perform microbiological analysis of water, wastewater, environmental and other assigned samples.
Conduct routine microbiological testing as per approved laboratory methods and SOPs.
Prepare culture media, reagents and maintain microbiological test materials.
Handle sample collection, preparation, testing and result documentation.
Maintain laboratory records, worksheets, test reports and related documentation.
Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment.
Ensure proper sterilization, hygiene and laboratory safety practices.
Monitor and maintain required quality control standards during testing.
Identify and report abnormal or out-of-specification results to the concerned senior.
Support internal quality checks, audits and laboratory documentation.
Follow laboratory SOPs, safety procedures and applicable quality requirements.
Required Skills:
Good knowledge of microbiological testing and laboratory practices.
Hands-on experience with culture media preparation and microbial analysis.
Valuable documentation and record-keeping skills.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control.
Good analytical and observation skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
