Position: Physical Education Teacher (P.E.)

Qualifications: B.P.Ed. /M.P.Ed. from a recognized University with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in schools, international schools, & colleges

Job Description:

n

Plan and conduct age-appropriate Physical Education classes as per the school curriculum and academic calendar.
n
Prepare annual, term-wise, monthly and lesson-wise PE plans.
n
Conduct regular fitness assessments and maintain individual student fitness records.
n
Teach and develop basic skills in athletics, team games, individual sports and other sports offered by the school.
n
Identify students with sporting potential through regular PE classes, fitness assessments and competitions.
n
Develop and maintain a Sports Talent Identification Database.
n
Prepare students for Inter-House, Inter-School, District, State, National and other recognized competitions.
n
Assist in organizing Annual Sports Day, Inter-House Competitions, Sports Festivals, Athletic Meets and other sporting events.
n
Maintain accurate records of student participation, sports achievements, competition results and team performance.




n
Monitor and document students representing the school at District, State, National and International levels.
n
Coordinate with the Principal, Academic Coordinators, Class Teachers, Sports Coordinator, administration, medical staff and external coaches.
n
Communicate sports schedules, competition information and other relevant details to students, parents and concerned staff through approved school channels.
n
Submit daily/monthly sports activity reports and other reports as required by the Sports Department.
n
Attend staff meetings, sports department meetings, workshops and training programmes as required.
n
Follow all SVKM and school policies, child safeguarding guidelines, safety procedures and administrative requirements.
n
Work closely with the Principal, Director – Sports, Sports Coordinator and School Management for the overall development of the school's sports programme.
n
Undertake any other sports-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal or Director – Sports
