Snowflake Data ArchitectROLE OVERVIEW

The Commercial Data Architect owns the end-to-end data architecture that powers commercial reporting across the global GTM organization. This role is the single source of truth for how data flows from source systems into trusted, governed, self-serve analytics - enabling leadership to make high-stakes decisions with confidence. Nothing above this layer works without this foundation.

THE OBJECTIVE

Design, build, and maintain the commercial data model, Snowflake connectivity, and governed reporting layer that the business depends on. Ensure data quality, semantic consistency, and platform reliability at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Define and own the target-state commercial data model spanning Salesforce, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and maintain a semantic model/data cube that delivers consistent, self-serve commercial metrics across regions.
- Manage governed connectivity to the Snowflake instance and curate trusted business views.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards, monitoring,



and remediation protocols for all commercial data.
- Consolidate fragmented hand-built extracts into a single governed reporting layer.
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Finance, and Sales leadership to align on metric definitions and reporting needs.
- Document data lineage, transformation logic, and governance policies for auditability.
- Evaluate and recommend tooling improvements across the data platform stack.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- 7-10 years of experience in dimensional and semantic data modeling.
- Expert-level proficiency with Snowflake (architecture, performance tuning, access control).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Strong SQL skills including pipeline design, CTEs, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Salesforce as a data source (SFDC data model, APIs, Bulk API).
- Proficiency in data governance frameworks and data quality tooling.
- Architect-level thinking with a builder's mindset - you ship working solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex data architecture decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with dbt (data build tool) for transformation layer management.
- Background in commercial or revenue analytics (ARR, pipeline, quota attainment).
- Familiarity with Agentforce or Salesforce Data Cloud.
