Job Description
Position: Civil Engineer
Experience: 5–7 Years
Location: Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands
Qualification: B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and implementation of the Detailed Master Plan for the proposed township in Outstanding Nicobar Island.
- Review and coordinate master planning, infrastructure and civil engineering requirements for the proposed development.
- Assist in planning and design of roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage, utilities and other infrastructure services.
- Review engineering drawings, layouts, technical specifications and estimates prepared by consultants/design teams.
- Coordinate with the client, consultants, government departments and other stakeholders for project requirements and approvals.
- Conduct site visits and assess existing physical infrastructure, site conditions and development constraints.
- Assist in preparation/review of BOQs, cost estimates, technical reports and project documentation.
- Monitor progress of assigned technical activities and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
- Support identification and resolution of technical issues related to civil and infrastructure works.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, presentations and technical MIS for the client.
Qualifications
Qualification: B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering
Additional Information
Desired Profile
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering/infrastructure planning, preferably with master planning, township development, urban infrastructure or DPR projects.
- B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering.
- Good understanding of roads, water supply, sewerage, drainage and storm-water infrastructure.
- Experience in reviewing drawings, BOQs, estimates, DPRs and technical reports.
- Exposure to government/PMC/consultancy projects will be preferred.
- Good coordination, communication and report-writing skills.
- Candidate should be willing to work in Port Blair.
Preferred: Experience in coastal/island infrastructure, seismic areas, large-scale township development or projects involving multiple government agencies would be an added advantage, considering the project's coastal and environmentally sensitive setting
