- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews; drive blameless postmortems and follow through on the corrective code changes.
- Serve as the engineering owner of production support for the Application Development portfolio, developing deep working knowledge of the applications, their data, and the business processes they support.
- Write and tune C# and SQL code to diagnose and correct defects, performance bottlenecks, and data issues found in production.
- Use existing observability tooling (Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor) to investigate issues; contribute dashboards, queries, and alerts for the applications you support.
- Track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for the applications you support, and partner with development teams to drive improvements when reliability targets are at risk.
- Partner with the Application Development team on the design, build, and support of resilient, scalable, and secure full stack solutions built on .NET (C#) and React.
- Participate in application design and development as needed to prevent recurrence of production defects.
- Leverage AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Copilot in Azure, and similar) to accelerate debugging, incident triage, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Networking teams to ensure applications meet enterprise standards for availability, security, and compliance.
- Contribute to system and performance testing to proactively identify weaknesses before they reach production.
- Mentor developers on production-readiness, defect prevention,

and supportable code practices.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and known-error records for the applications you support.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

The Qualifications.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on development experience building and maintaining applications with C# .NET, React, MS SQL, and REST APIs is required.
- Proven experience as a full stack developer who has carried production support responsibility for the applications they built.
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing production defects from logs, traces, and stack traces, then delivering the code fix through to release.
- Working knowledge of Azure application services (App Service, Functions, Storage, Queues, Key Vault, API Management) from a developer's perspective.
- Practical experience using Application Insights and Log Analytics to investigate application behavior in production.
- Strong understanding and experience using Postman or a similar tool to test APIs during development.
- Robust coding, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of relational databases, data models, and distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, particularly under pressure during production incidents.
- Working knowledge of git source control and branching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred (good To Have, Not Required)

- Working familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, release patterns such as blue/green and canary, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, or Terraform) is preferred, not required.
- Familiarity with SRE principles: SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, toil reduction, incident management, and blameless postmortems.

- Exposure to AIOps platforms or AI-driven observability (e.g., Azure Monitor with AI insights, or similar).
- Experience contributing to internal developer tooling or automation.
- Knowledge of service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
