Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and support day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a good understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation. • Record and review financial transactions, invoices, expenses, and payments. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and account summaries. • Perform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing and payment tracking. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by compiling and reviewing relevant data. • Assist with tax preparation, statutory filings, and compliance with applicable accounting regulations. • Support internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules, records, and documentation. • Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and identify unusual items, errors, or inconsistencies. • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and follow established accounting controls and procedures. • Use accounting software and spreadsheets to organize, analyze, and report financial information. • Collaborate with finance, operations,
and other departments to resolve accounting-related issues. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and basic financial reporting. • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or financial management software. • Strong numerical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Valuable written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly. • CPA, ACCA, or another relevant professional certification is an advantage but not required. Preferred Skills
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and basic financial analysis. • Familiarity with accounting platforms such as Quick Books, Xero, Net Suite, SAP, or similar systems. • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends. • Strong time-management and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Good judgment and a proactive approach to resolving financial issues. • Adaptability and willingness to learn new accounting tools and processes. • High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail
