Job Description
The BIM Designer – Electrical (MEP) will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed 3D BIM models and technical documentation for electrical systems in building projects. The role involves coordinating with MEP teams, architects, engineers, and international clients to ensure accurate and clash-free project delivery.
The position is based at Axium Global’s Delivery Centre, Andheri, Mumbai, working on flagship projects for leading MEP design consulting firms across the UK, USA, Australia, and UAE.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain BIM models for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and other electrical systems.
Coordinate electrical designs with Mechanical, Plumbing, and other disciplines to minimize clashes.
Prepare construction documents, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
Perform clash detection and resolution using BIM software.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, and other stakeholders.
Review and update models as per project requirements and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Qualification & Experience:
BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
ITI/NCTVT Certified Electrical Draftsman with relevant experience will also be considered.
3–5 years of experience in electrical design with hands-on BIM modelling experience.
Knowledge of MEP coordination and international project standards will be an advantage.

Requirements
Requirements: BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. ITI/NCTVT certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing drafting with relevant hands-on experience. 2–5 years of professional experience in electrical design, with proven expertise in BIM modeling and MEP coordination. Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and familiarity with industry-standard modeling practices. Strong understanding of electrical systems, building codes, and construction documentation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
