We partner with CEOs, CHROs, Tech Leaders and senior decision-makers todrive conversations around talent strategy, leadership, and the future of work.Through high-impact physical conferences, large-scale virtual summits, roundtables, research-led initiatives,and digital properties, People Matters enables meaningful engagement between brands and the HR ecosystem.We combine community, content, and curated experiences to help organizations strengthen their employerbrand and business impact.Learn more at: www.peoplematters.inRole OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Operations Manager/Assistant Manager to lead theplanning and execution of People Matters’ conferences and new experiences & Initiatives.The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end event operations lifecycle — from planning,budgeting and vendor management to on-ground execution and post-event closure.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing B2B events, conferences, corporate events, orlarge-scale experiences and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Key Responsibilities1. Event Planning & Execution● Own the end-to-end operational planning and execution of physical, virtual, and hybrid events.● Develop detailed event plans covering timelines, logistics, production, staffing, vendors, andon-ground requirements.● Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Client Servicing, Content, Marketing, and Design toensure seamless event delivery.● Ensure all event deliverables are executed as per agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards.● Manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.2. Vendor & Partner Management● Identify, evaluate, negotiate,
and manage event vendors and service partners.● Manage production agencies, AV partners, venues, F&B;, fabrication, branding, logistics, travel, andother event suppliers.● Ensure vendor deliverables meet agreed quality, timelines, and commercial commitments.● Build a reliable and cost-effective vendor ecosystem.3. Budget & Cost Management● Prepare and manage event budgets in line with approved commercial plans.● Track event expenses, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments.● Identify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising the attendee or client experience.● Monitor event profitability and ensure operational decisions are aligned with business objectives.4. On-Ground Operations & Experience● Lead on-ground event operations and ensure smooth execution across all touchpoints.● Manage venue setup, registration, stage and production, branding, seating, F&B;, hospitality,transportation, and attendee movement.● Coordinate with venue teams and vendors to resolve real-time operational challenges.● Ensure a high-quality experience for speakers, delegates, partners, and other stakeholders.● Take ownership of troubleshooting and crisis management during events.5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management● Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and translate them intooperational plans.● Coordinate with speakers, delegates, partners, venues, vendors, and external agencies.● Maintain clear communication and timely updates across stakeholders.● Anticipate operational risks and proactively develop contingency plans.6. Post-Event Closure & Reporting● Ensure timely post-event closure, including vendor reconciliation, documentation,
