We're hiring: Assistant Manager - Mechanical Design & Prototyping | IF MedTech, Navi MumbaiAt IF MedTech, we take medical devices from concept to design transfer - mechanical, electronics and software, under design control.We're now looking for someone to lead mechanical design across multiple concurrent device programs. This is a hands-on role with first-line project and people responsibility: driving concept generation and detailed design, reviewing the team's output, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with vendors and manufacturing partners to turn designs into safe, compliant, manufacturable products.What you'll ownMechanical design of enclosures, instruments and electromechanical assemblies — concept to production-intent3D models, detailed drawings and BOMs in SolidWorksDesign reviews at each stage gate, and design outputs that stand up to ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601-1, IEC 62366 and ISO 10993Engineering calculations, tolerance stack-ups and FEA-supported validationDFM, DFA, DFMEA, PFMEA across injection moulding, sheet metal, casting, CNC and 3D printingVendor identification,



qualification and coordination across the Mumbai–Pune manufacturing ecosystemTask allocation, multi-project planning, and mentoring junior design engineersWhat we're looking forB.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering8-10+ years in mechanical design, with 5–7 years in medical devices or other regulated productsStrong SolidWorks, GD&T; and tolerance analysisPrior experience reviewing others' design work and allocating tasksBonus: orthopaedics, surgical instruments, diagnostics; a design services background; Six Sigma/Lean exposureLocation: Navi Mumbai (on-site, full time)Joining: Immediate joiners strongly preferredIf you've been looking for a place where design rigour is the culture and not the paperwork, let's talk.
