Through outreach and engagement, Veterans India fosters a culture of responsible citizenship, national pride, and readiness to contribute to the common good.Role Description The Honorary State President – Veterans India will provide strategic leadership for the organization’s activities within the state, with a primary base in Patna in a full‑time hybrid capacity (office-based with some work from home flexibility). The role involves coordinating state-level programs and initiatives that promote nationalism, patriotism, and civic responsibility, especially among children and youth. The Honorary State President will build and maintain relationships with veterans’ groups, educational institutions, community organizations, and public authorities to support outreach and events. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and overseeing campaigns, supervising state volunteers, representing Veterans India at meetings and public forums,



and ensuring alignment with the trust’s values and national objectives. The role also includes reporting on state activities, supporting fundraising or resource mobilization efforts where appropriate, and fostering an inclusive environment for participants from diverse backgrounds.Qualifications Demonstrated leadership experience in community service, public administration, veteran affairs, or social sector initiatives, with the ability to guide and inspire diverse teams.Solid communication and public speaking skills, including the ability to address large groups, engage youth and educators, and represent the organization with clarity and respect.Proven capability in program planning, event management, and coordination of outreach activities at district or state level.Experience building partnerships with schools, colleges, civil society organizations, and government bodies, and working collaboratively toward shared goals.Deep commitment to constitutional values, nationalism, patriotism, and respect for human rights, with an inclusive approach to India’s cultural, religious, and linguistic diversity.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and reporting requirements in a full-time hybrid role based in Patna.Comfort with basic digital tools (email, presentations, online collaboration platforms) to coordinate activities and maintain effective communication.Background as an armed forces veteran or experience working closely with veteran communities is highly desirable; prior involvement in youth or civic engagement programs is an advantage.
