Job Title: Finance Associate

Location: Mumbai

Industry: Health & Wellness, D2C Employment

Key Responsibilities: Accounting, Reporting & MIS

- Manage day-to-day accounting and books of accounts for the India and US entities
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures
- Prepare MIS, budget-versus-actual reports, cash-flow forecasts and management reports
- Manage AP, AR, billing, collections, accruals, prepayments and general ledger reconciliations
- Maintain accurate intercompany balances and monthly reconciliations, Payments, Cards & Expense Management
- Manage end-to-end vendor onboarding, invoice verification, approval tracking and payments
- Process payments to CMOs, 3PLs, freight partners, agencies, consultants, creators and software vendors
- Manage and reconcile corporate cards and maintain payment calendars, recurring expense trackers and vendor documentation
- Monitor bank balances, card limits, upcoming commitments and cash requirements D2C Sales & Revenue Reconciliation
- Reconcile sales, payouts and fees across Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop and other channels
- Reconcile payment gateways and bank settlements, including Stripe, Shopify Payments and PayPal
- Account for refunds, returns, discounts, chargebacks, subscription orders and processing fees
- Prepare channel-wise revenue, net sales and contribution-margin reports Inventory & Supply Chain Finance
- Manage inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and inventory valuation
- Calculate SKU-wise product and landed costs, including manufacturing, packaging, freight, duties and 3PL costs
- Reconcile inventory across CMOs, freight partners and US warehouses • Track purchase orders, advances, production payments, samples, damages, returns and write-offs




- Support product costing and gross-margin analysis Taxation & Compliance
- Manage GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable India compliances • Support foreign-remittance, FEMA, RBI FLA/APR and related documentation where applicable
- Coordinate US sales-tax registrations, nexus monitoring and return filings
- Support federal and state tax filings, including Form 1120, franchise tax and annual compliance and maintain W-9, W-8BEN/W-8BEN-E documentation
- Coordinate with external CAs, CPAs, auditors and tax consultants Audit, Controls & Governance
- Support statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits and due diligence exercises
- Build and maintain finance SOPs, approval controls and documentation processes
- Ensure invoices, approvals and applicable tax documents support all transactions
- Maintain organised digital records of contracts, invoices, payment proofs and statutory filings
- Identify accounting gaps, unusual transactions and compliance risks.

- • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience
- • Hands-on experience in accounting, AP, AR, taxation, audits, payments and financial reporting
- • Solid understanding of GST, TDS, reconciliations and monthly closure
- • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
- • Ability to independently own day-to-day finance operations
- • High attention to detail and comfort working in an early-stage environment

- Good to Have
- • Experience in D2C, FMCG, consumer products, retail, e-commerce or manufacturing
- • Exposure to US accounting, sales tax or cross-border transactions
- Experience with inventory accounting, product costing or contract manufacturing
- • Familiarity with Shopify, payment gateways, marketplaces and corporate card platforms
