Senior Manager-Placements

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Placements to lead end-to-end student placement operations, corporate relationship management, and career services at NAMTECH. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in campus placements, industry-academia collaboration, and building strategic partnerships with corporates to enhance student employability and placement outcomes.

Reporting to: DGM - Corporate Partnerships
Team Size: Will lead a team of placement coordinators/executives
Key Responsibilities

Corporate Relations & Placement Strategy
Build, nurture, and expand relationships with corporates for campus recruitment, internships, and live projects.
Develop and execute a comprehensive placement strategy aligned with institutional goals and evolving industry requirements.
Bring in new corporate clientele while strengthening existing partnerships to ensure a consistent recruitment pipeline.
Improve the quality of placements year-on-year in terms of company profile, role diversity, and average compensation offered.
Placement Operations
¢ Manage the complete placement process from corporate outreach and proposal submission to interview coordination, offer rollout, and follow-up.
¢ Plan, organize, and execute campus recruitment drives, internships, and final placement cycles.




¢ Prepare and maintain placement strategy documents, rules, and regulations, updating them annually as per evolving requirements.
¢ Maintain accurate placement data, reports, and documentation for institutional and regulatory purposes.
Student Engagement & Career Readiness
¢ Design and deliver skill development programs soft skills, communication, interview preparation, and mock interviews to enhance student employability.
¢ Counsel students to align their career aspirations and skill sets with market opportunities.
¢ Organize industry visits, guest lectures, and masterclasses to strengthen students' industry exposure.
¢ Encourage and coordinate student participation in assessments and training programs conducted by recruiters/trainers.
Stakeholder Management
¢ Collaborate closely with academic leadership, faculty, alumni relations, marketing, and admissions teams to align placement outcomes with broader institutional objectives.
¢ Act as the key liaison between the institution and industry for academia-industry collaboration initiatives.
¢ Represent the institution at industry forums, corporate meets, and placement-related events to build brand visibility.
Team & Process Management
¢ Lead, mentor,



and manage a team of placement coordinators/executives.
¢ Ensure effective interdepartmental coordination for smooth functioning of the placement process.
¢ Continuously refine placement processes based on learnings from each recruitment cycle.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
¢ 10-15 years of progressive experience in student placements, corporate relations, and career services within the higher education sector.
¢ Proven track record of managing placements for a large student cohort (500+ students annually preferred).
¢ Demonstrated experience building and sustaining corporate partnerships across diverse industry sectors.
Education
¢ Postgraduate degree/diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field (PGDHRM/MBA preferred).
¢ A technical or engineering background is an added advantage, particularly for placements requiring cross-industry corporate outreach.
Skills & Competencies
¢ Strong corporate relationship management and key account handling skills.
¢ Excellent communication, public speaking, and stakeholder management abilities.
¢ Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with placement/CRM tracking tools.
¢ Strong analytical skills for placement data tracking and reporting.
¢ Team leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
¢ Fluency in English and Hindi required; additional regional language proficiency is a plus.
Location
Based at NAMTECH campus, Godhavi, Ahmedabad. Candidates open to relocation to Gujarat will be considered.
