Role & responsibilities

- Ensure achievement of daily production targets in the Weld Shop as per the production plan.
- Monitor welding operations, manpower utilization, and line productivity.
- Ensure adherence to welding process parameters, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams for smooth operations.
- Monitor and reduce welding defects, rejection, rework, and scrap.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of welding fixtures, jigs, and tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality and productivity issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and customer-specific requirements.




- Monitor consumables usage and optimize welding costs.
- Prepare daily production reports, MIS, and shift performance reports.
- Support current model development, welding trials, and process improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or Welding Engineering.
- 3-8 years (Executive) / 6-12 years (Sr. Executive) experience in Weld Shop operations.
- Experience in MIG, MAG, Spot Welding, Robotic Welding, and Fixture Handling.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Quality Tools.
- Strong shop-floor management and team handling skills.
