Team Lead – Operations | UAT & Migration TestingLocation: Remote – India⏳ Duration: 12 Months ContractExperience: 7+ YearsDomain: Banking️ Defect Tracking Tool: JIRAJob PurposeWe are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Operations to lead day-to-day User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for a banking environment. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing UAT to ensure business continuity, data integrity, and regulatory compliance through structured validation and effective stakeholder collaboration.The candidate will act as a key liaison between Business, Operations, Technology, Product Owners, and Vendor teams to ensure successful validation of functional requirements. The role will own requirements, proactively identify project risks, and minimize operational risk during system migration and implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesA. UAT Planning & CoordinationUnderstand business requirements and migration scope.Prepare UAT strategy and test approach.Coordinate with business users, product owners, and vendor teams.Define UAT entry and exit criteria.Review BRDs, FSDs, mapping documents, and migration logic .Prepare UAT test scenarios and test cases covering:Core banking functionalitiesReports validationInterface validationsRegulatory requirementsReview test results and obtain stakeholder sign-off.B. Migration TestingValidate data migration between legacy and new systems.Perform UAT and SIT testing throughout the migration lifecycle, ensuring seamless transition from the legacy platform to the new system without business disruption.Perform:Field-level validationData reconciliationBalance validationTransaction history validationIdentification and logging of data mismatchesCoordinate with IT teams for defect investigation and resolution.C. Integration TestingPerform integration testing of systems used by the bank.Validate end-to-end integration between the core banking system and interfacing applications,



such as credit card systems.Coordinate with interface teams and vendors to resolve reported issues and data mismatches.Design comprehensive integration test scenarios covering real-time and batch interactions across systems.D. Test Execution & Defect ManagementExecute UAT test cases and document results.Log and manage defects using JIRA .Perform retesting and regression testing.Track defect status and follow up with vendors and technology teams.Provide daily and weekly testing status reports.Support business users during test execution.Clarify functional queries raised by business and technology teams.Escalate critical issues and risks when required.E. Reporting & DocumentationCreate and maintain comprehensive test evidence.Prepare and publish UAT status reports and defect summary reports .Prepare Go-Live Readiness Reports .Manage daily status communications and stakeholder updates.Support the formal UAT sign-off process.Knowledge, Skills & Experience7+ years of overall experience in Banking Operations and Testing.Strong hands-on experience in UAT and SIT testing within banking environments.Sound knowledge of retail/loyalty-based banking practices, products, and services .Experience in data migration, reconciliation, integration testing, and defect management .Strong understanding of banking systems, interfaces, and end-to-end transaction flows.Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools .Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.Strong interpersonal, communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to work effectively with Business, Operations, Technology, Product Owners, and Vendors .Robust understanding of operational risk and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate project/migration risks.Preferred Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be a banking UAT/testing professional with strong migration and integration testing experience , capable of leading testing activities, coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing defects, and ensuring business readiness for go-live.
