Job Summary

Responsible for carrying out and reviewing quality control testing of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, In-Process/Bulk and Finished Liquid products, ensuring compliance with approved specifications, SOPs, GMP/GLP and data integrity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform chemical and instrumental analysis of Raw Materials, In-Process/Bulk and Finished Products as per approved specifications and analytical methods.
- Perform testing of liquid formulations for parameters such as assay, pH, specific gravity, viscosity, clarity, fill volume and other product-specific tests.
- Operate and handle QC instruments such as HPLC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, Karl Fischer, Auto Titrator, pH Meter, Viscometer and related laboratory equipment.
- Prepare and standardize reagents, volumetric solutions, mobile phases and sample/standard solutions as per SOP.
- Review analytical calculations, worksheets, chromatograms and test results for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper documentation of analytical activities in compliance with GMP, GLP, SOPs and ALCOA+ / Data Integrity principles.
- Handle OOS, OOT, deviations and laboratory incidents and support investigation as required.
- Support stability studies, method verification/validation, analytical method transfer and related QC activities.
- Ensure proper sampling, identification, storage and disposal of QC samples, standards, reagents and chemicals.
- Maintain QC laboratory records, logbooks,



instrument records and analytical reports.
- Coordinate with QA, Production and other departments for timely testing, investigation and batch-release activities.
- Ensure calibration, verification and preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Support internal, customer and regulatory audits and provide required QC documentation.
- Follow laboratory safety, housekeeping and GMP requirements.
- Guide junior QC officers/analysts and ensure timely completion of assigned testing activities.

Required Qualification

B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry / B.Pharm / M.Pharm or equivalent qualification.

Experience

3–10 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical QC, preferably in Liquid/Oral Liquid Formulation.
