Property Search & Verification Lawyer

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct property title and document searches.
- Trace and verify the complete chain of ownership.
- Search Registry/ADSR, BL&LRO; and relevant government records.
- Verify Sale Deeds, Gift Deeds, Partition Deeds, Mutation, Khatian/Porcha and other property documents.
- Check for encumbrances, mortgages, disputes and litigation.
- Identify title defects, discrepancies and missing documents.
- Prepare concise Title Search & Legal Verification Reports.
- Coordinate with government offices and property owners for document verification.

Requirements

- LL.B. with valid Bar Council enrollment.
- 2+ years of experience in property law/title verification.
- Practical knowledge of Kolkata property records and registration procedures.
- Strong legal research, document-reading and drafting skills.
- Experience in physical/online property record searches preferred.
