Why This Role Matters
This role sits within the Strategic Transactions Team, part of SBC's Financial Reporting function at our Pune Shared Services Centre. The team owns investment, dividend, professional fee, and statutory compliance activity for the doctor partners of our UK healthcare client — a stakeholder group that is highly demanding and expects immediate, careful attention on every request. As Senior Officer, you will take end-to-end ownership of these transactions, review the work of Officers on the team, and act as the first point of escalation for complex or sensitive partner queries. This is a role for someone who wants genuine ownership of strategic financial operations and direct, high-stakes exposure to partner-level stakeholders in a healthcare-focused GCC.
Key Responsibilities
Investment (Interest & Loan) Transactions
- Own the end-to-end processing of doctor partner investment transactions, including interest and loan movements.
- Review Officer-processed entries for accuracy before finalisation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unusual transaction patterns, escalating to the Manager only where necessary.
Dividend Management
- Review and approve dividend calculations prepared by Officers, ensuring accuracy against agreed formulas.
- Oversee dividend payment processing and resolve any payment-related issues.
- Handle complex or sensitive dividend queries directly with doctor partners.
Professional Fee Administration
- Own professional fee calculations for higher-value or complex partner arrangements.
- Review and approve professional fee disbursements prepared by Officers.
- Maintain audit-ready records and lead on fee-related query resolution.
Companies House (UK) Filings
- · Review and finalise new Companies House filings and updates prepared by Officers.
- · Own the filing calendar, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met without exception.
- · Manage compliance risk and escalate material issues to the Manager promptly.
Yearly Compliance
- Lead preparation of LLP Accounts and Tax Returns for the annual compliance cycle.
- Review supporting documentation and calculations prepared by Officers.
- Coordinate with the Manager and external stakeholders to ensure on-time, accurate year-end filings.
Query Resolution & Turnaround
- Act as the first point of escalation for professional fee, investment, and other partner queries that cannot be resolved by Officers within standard TATs.
- Own resolution of complex or sensitive queries directly with doctor partners, ensuring quick and strict turnaround times are met.
- Monitor team-wide query logs and turnaround performance, flagging risks to the Manager.
Skills and Experience Required
- ACCA, MBA (Finance), or Inter CA qualification.
- 3–5 years' experience in accounting, finance operations, or partnership/transaction finance, ideally in a professional service, Shared Services or GCC environment.
- Strong working knowledge of interest, dividend, and professional fee calculations.
- Experience with UK company compliance requirements, including Companies House filings.
- Familiarity with LLP accounting and year-end tax return preparation.
- Beginner level proficiency with CaseWare Working Papers / CaseWare Cloud for audit documentation, trial balance import, and financial statement preparation for UK/international clients is required. (see Yearly Compliance under Key Responsibilities, where this is applied to LLP Accounts and Tax Returns preparation).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to handle demanding partner-facing conversations directly.
- Ability to review others' work accurately while managing your own complex caseload under strict turnaround times.
Desirable
- Prior experience supporting doctor partners, medical practices, or other professional partnership structures.
- Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior team members.
Personal Attributes
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive partner financial information.
- Composed and solution-focused under pressure, given the demanding nature of doctor partner stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership — comfortable being the first point of escalation and resolving issues rather than passing them upward.
Working Conditions and Benefits
- This is a strictly Work From Office (WFO) role based at our Sinhgad Road, Pune office — there is no hybrid or work-from-home option for this role.
- Please note the company does not provide transport facilities; candidates should be able to commute to the Sinhgad Road office independently.
- You will work closely with the Manager – Management Accountant and the wider Financial Reporting function, with direct oversight of Officers on the Strategic Transactions Team.
- A chance to take real ownership of partner-level financial operations for a UK healthcare client, with direct exposure to demanding senior stakeholders.
- We offer a competitive compensation package, a generous leave policy, medical insurance, and a team-oriented work environment.
- High performers can look forward to clear career growth opportunities within the Financial Reporting function.
