Job Description

We are looking for a Scooty Service Technician to handle servicing, inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electric scooters. The technician will work on mechanical, electrical, electronic, battery, motor, controller, charger, and wiring-related systems while following company and EV safety procedures. These responsibilities align with India’s EV service technician occupational standards for two-wheelers.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform periodic, preventive, and breakdown servicing of electric scooters.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using multimeter, diagnostic tools, and service equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot battery packs, BMS, motor, controller, charger, DC-DC converter, wiring harness, sensors, and switches.
- Repair or replace defective EV components as per company procedures.
- Check battery condition, connections, voltage, charging performance, and basic BMS parameters.
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and final quality checks.
- Conduct road/test rides after repairs to verify vehicle performance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to starting, charging, acceleration, braking, display, lights, indicators, and vehicle communication systems.
- Maintain job cards, service reports, parts consumption records, and warranty documentation.
- Follow high-voltage electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, isolation procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.




- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, cleanliness, and 5S standards.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager and technical team for difficult or recurring faults.
- Explain repair requirements and basic technical issues to customers when required.
- Attend company/OEM training and stay updated on new EV technologies.

Required Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related trade.
- Candidates with relevant EV technician certification will be preferred.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge may also be considered.

Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in two-wheeler servicing/repair.
- Experience with electric scooters/EVs will be an advantage.
- Freshers with ITI/Diploma and practical EV knowledge can apply.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of electric two-wheelers.
- Valuable understanding of battery, motor, controller, charger and BMS.
- Electrical fault finding and wiring diagnosis.
- Mechanical servicing and repair skills.
- Ability to use a multimeter and basic workshop tools.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Good teamwork and discipline.
- Willingness to learn new EV technology.
