Job Description: Website & Shopify Executive
About Studio Palasa
Studio Palasa is a premium garden and home décor company specialising in planters, plants, garden décor, and landscaping solutions for residential and commercial spaces.
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized professional to manage our online store on Shopify and maintain our WordPress website. This person will be responsible for keeping our product catalog accurate, up to date, and fully reflected across both platforms — including uploading new inventory as it arrives, managing product data, and ensuring the customer-facing site is always error-free and current.
Key Responsibilities
- Upload new products to Shopify and the website, including titles, descriptions, images, pricing, variants (size/color/etc.), and SEO-friendly metadata
- Monitor and update inventory levels to ensure accuracy across both platforms and prevent overselling or stockouts
- Regularly audit the storefront and website to confirm all products are live, correctly categorized, and appearing in the right collections/pages
- Identify and fix discrepancies between backend inventory and what's shown online (missing images, incorrect pricing, broken links, out-of-stock items still listed as available)
- Organize and maintain product collections, tags, and categories for easy site navigation
- Coordinate with warehouse and vendors to get accurate product information and imagery
- Perform routine quality checks on product pages (formatting, spelling, image quality, correct sizing charts, etc.)
- Make minor edits to the WordPress website (page updates, banners, layout fixes) as needed
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of storefront/website issues and escalate technical problems as needed
- Support seasonal updates,
promotions, and sales by ensuring pricing and product visibility are correctly reflected across platforms
- Assist with order management and customer inquiries related to product availability
Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience managing a Shopify store (required)
- Working knowledge of WordPress for website maintenance and updates (required)
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for storefront and website edits
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of catching errors before they go live
- Comfortable navigating the Shopify admin dashboard, including Products, Inventory, and Collections sections
- Basic understanding of product data structure (SKUs, variants, tags, metafields)
- Organized and able to manage repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently
- Good written communication skills for product descriptions and internal coordination
- Ability to work independently and follow a checklist/process consistently
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Canva or CorelDRAW for basic image/banner edits
- Experience with basic photo editing or resizing for product images
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for product listings
- Experience with inventory management apps/integrations (e.g., Stocky, TradeGecko)
What Success Looks Like
- Every product available for sale is accurately listed online with correct pricing, images, and inventory counts across both platforms
- No discrepancies between in-stock inventory and what customers see on the site
- Current products go live within 48 hours of being added to the system
- The website and storefront consistently look polished, organized, and error-free
Benefits
- Paid sick time
- Paid time off
