Technical Lead – AI, SaaS, ERP & Business Automation

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead / Senior Product Engineer to take long-term ownership of our business technology platforms.

This is not a conventional IT Manager role, and we are not looking for someone whose experience is limited to websites, basic ERP configuration, prompt engineering or no-code automation.

We want someone who has spent several years helping build and improve a real business product such as a:

CRM, ERP, SaaS platform, customer portal, service-management platform, workflow system, B2B platform or multi-module business application.

The ideal candidate has grown within a company from developer/senior developer into a Technical Lead or similar leadership position, while continuing to remain technically hands-on.

Strong preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated long-term ownership and career progression within the same company/product, rather than frequent job changes.

What You Will Own

You will lead the continued development of digital platforms serving our businesses in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Architecting and developing scalable SaaS and business applications
- Customer portals and admin platforms
- CRM, leads, enquiries, opportunities and sales workflows
- Client onboarding and service-request management
- ERP/business-process integrations
- Quotation, invoicing, payment and subscription workflows
- Role-based access and approval systems
- Dashboards, management reporting and analytics
- REST APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations
- WhatsApp, email and communication automation
- AI-powered lead qualification and sales workflows
- AI agents, LLM integrations, RAG and intelligent document processing
- Workflow automation using tools such as n8n, Make or similar platforms
- Database and backend architecture
- Cloud deployment, security, backup and monitoring
- Code reviews and technical standards
- Managing and mentoring junior/mid-level developers




- Translating management requirements into working products
- Taking features from requirement → architecture → development → testing → deployment → continuous improvement

What We Are Looking For

You should have approximately 7–12+ years of software-development experience, with strong hands-on experience building business applications.

We strongly prefer candidates who have:

4+ years of meaningful ownership within one company or product environment.

You should be able to demonstrate experience with several of the following:

SaaS / Product Development
Multi-tenant SaaS, CRM, ERP, workflow platforms, customer portals, admin systems, subscription platforms or similar business applications.

Backend
Python, FastAPI, Django, Node.js, NestJS, Laravel or comparable technologies.

Frontend
React, Next.js, Angular, Vue or equivalent modern frameworks.

Database
PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis or similar technologies.

AI
OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or other LLM APIs; AI agents; RAG; embeddings; document extraction; structured outputs and AI-enabled workflows.

Automation
n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate or custom API/webhook-based workflow automation.

Integrations
CRM/ERP integrations, payment gateways, WhatsApp, email, Google services and external APIs.

Cloud / DevOps
AWS, Azure or GCP; Docker; Git; CI/CD; monitoring and production deployments.

Experience with Odoo, ERPNext, Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot or similar ERP/CRM platforms is valuable but not mandatory.

Leadership Requirement

This position requires more than coding.

You must be comfortable:

Understanding business requirements directly from management, challenging weak requirements, designing the technical solution, allocating work to developers, reviewing code, solving production issues and taking responsibility for delivery.





You should be capable of leading approximately 3–8 developers as the technology function grows.

At the same time, you must remain technically hands-on.

Who Should NOT Apply

This role is unlikely to be suitable if your experience is primarily:

WordPress/web design, basic IT support, digital marketing, prompt engineering alone, Zapier-only automation, ERP administration without development experience, project management without coding, or managing developers without personally building production systems.

We are specifically looking for a product builder and technical leader.

Candidates shortlisted for this role will be asked to demonstrate a real software product they personally helped build.

Be prepared to explain:

Architecture, database design, APIs, authentication, permissions, workflows, cloud deployment, security, scalability, integrations and your personal contribution.

Shortlisted candidates may also receive a practical architecture exercise based on a real business SaaS platform.

First 90-Day Expectations

The selected candidate will be expected to:

Audit our existing applications and integrations, create a explicit technical architecture and improvement roadmap, stabilize critical systems, deploy meaningful business automations, introduce AI into selected workflows, improve development standards and begin taking full ownership of our technology roadmap.

That experience is more important to us than having worked for a famous multinational company.

Location preference: Kochi / Ernakulam / Kerala.

Candidates from elsewhere in Kerala who can work from Kochi or follow an agreed hybrid structure may also apply.
