Who are we looking for?

Thinkerbell Labs is a fast-growing startup in the field of inclusive education with products aimed at improving learning outcomes for the visually impaired. We are looking for engineers with an interest in working with multiple software technologies and languages to enhance the capabilities of our products Annie, Polly, and Helios - the world's first self-learning Braille learning ecosystem.

What will you be doing?

If you've been successfully hired for this role, you will be taking up the following responsibilities among others:

- Improving the Python engine that enables Braille learning on the World's first braille self-learning hardware and software ecosystem (Annie/Polly)
- Improving Helios web application which is the analytics suite of the Annie/Polly learning ecosystem (MERN stack)
- Collaborating with Product managers, Special Education Experts, Teachers for the Visually Impaired, and co-founders to ideate, design, prototype, validate, and launch new features to improve user experience and learning outcomes




- Assisting Hardware and Deployment engineers with software configurations to optimize Annie's deployments
- Creating scalable frontend components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers using ReactJS & Next.js
- Building custom APIs using NodeJS and MongoDB
- Analyzing and determining the best tools/packages and tech stacks for new solutions
- Making a social impact with every line of code

What you'll need to bring to the table?

- Education in Computer Science Engineering or a related subject
- Working understanding of Python, Shell scripting, JS - MERN stack
- Experience having worked with Linux-based operating systems
- Basic understanding of operating systems, computer architecture, and networking
- Experience working with web applications and APIs
- Understanding of OOP concepts, SOLID principles, operating systems, DBMS, data structures and algorithms, and Git.

Positive to have:

- Experience with Raspberry Pi

Stipend: INR 25,000 per month
